I love travel photography. It’s really what got me into shooting so much! And although I’ve got travel photos on this site in the portfolio section, I haven’t actually dedicated any posts to any of my trips. So, I have decided to start doing that. The thing with photography is, that there’s always a story behind every photo and sometimes it’s what you can’t see in the photo that makes the story so interesting.
In Cuba, we were very lucky to meet a taxi driver named Daniel, that not only drove us to our destination but introduced us to his family! We got to meet his wife and son at their home, which just happens to be perched right on the edge of the crystal blue Caribbean Sea! They also had three of the cutest little puppies that they had rescued! The next day, Daniel brought his teenage daughter and son, and gave us a tour of Holguin, including a paper making factory, lunch at a friend’s restaurant and a trip up Loma de la Cruz, a hilltop overlooking the whole city. Although, it was great to relax in the sun, the two days spent with Daniel and his family was definitely my favourite part of the trip.
